A TREATMENT APPROACH ROOTED IN SCIENCE + ARTISTRY
A reassuring presence alongside an intuitive touch - Meghan’s approach is defined by a detailed, hands-on treatment style that fosters a close rapport and assures patients feel fully heard. Here, your health concerns are listened to with attentive insight and observation to understand the story held within.

Fact: Acupuncture meridians lay in near exact anatomical overlay to the body’s nervous system and therefore fundamentally influence our biochemistry which regulates neurotransmitters that govern pain, hormones, organ systems, sleep, mental acuity and the processing center of our emotional experience.
Where there is pain, there is no flow.
In her practice, Meghan has found that her combination of acupuncture with massage + bodywork is highly effective at expediting the healing process, relieving pain at the musculoskeletal level, harmonizing at the internal organ level, and supporting the somatic connections of mind, body and spirit for meaningful, long-term changes to all aspects of one’s health.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Your body is an interconnected system and no symptom is addressed in isolation.

Acupuncture works to identify underlying patterns of physiological dysfunction to correct the root cause of your health concerns.
In Chinese Medicine, diagnosis and treatment are guided by the Four Pillars of Examination: Asking, Looking, Listening + Palpation. Chinese medicine also carefully takes into account the natural changes that occur over a person’s lifetime, along with the influence of how one’s relationship with their internal emotions and external environments have on their physical health.
Your initial visit covers a comprehensive health history, review of current health concerns, detailed orthopedic exams and/or physical evaluation as needed. “Why do I have the trouble that I do? Where does it come from? How can I understand it? What can I do about it? How can I prevent this from recurring?” Meghan understands these are some of the questions on your mind.

Your body is an interconnected system and no symptom is addressed in isolation. Chinese Medicine theory, clinical practice and modern scientific research reveal the web that connects everything from your allergies, fatigue, IBS, neck pain, menstrual cycle and more through underlying patterns of physiological dysfunction in order to correct the root cause of your health concerns.
In all that Chinese medicine does, it aims to balance the forces of yin (physical form) and yang (motive function) within the body to both treat and prevent disease.
Following an integrative medical model, an assessment, diagnosis and discussion covering your symptoms and pathology from both Eastern and Western perspectives will be provided with a treatment plan, including frequency and duration of treatments anticipated for optimal results, along with recommendations related to nutrition, lifestyle and herbal medicine as appropriate. The plans that work best are the ones that patients are committed to.
All modalities offered including acupuncture, massage, bodywork, cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, etc. are customized for each individual in every treatment based upon what would be most beneficial to a patient’s condition, personal needs and progress. With an emphasis on education and ensuring that her patients feel safe and informed throughout their course of treatment, Meghan empowers patients to take on a collaborative role in their healing process. For more information about the techniques Meghan uses in practice, please see pages dedicated to acupuncture, massage, cupping, gua sha + more, FAQ.
